Equipment Feature Definition

The Equipment's Feature Definition is stored in:

  • Feature Definition > Rail > Low Voltage Assets > Equipment
There are four fixed categories under Equipment:
  • Energy
  • Signal
  • Telecom
  • Trench

Additional sub-categories can be added underneath the four fixed categories.

Properties

Equipment Feature Definition has the following properties.

Note: Equipment Attributes always contains Feature Symbology for the Equipment and (optional) its Connection Points.

If the switch Is Equipment Assembly is set to Yes, two additional Feature Symbology entries are added for Top part of the Assembly and the stretchable middle part:

  • Connecting Equipment Geometry Aspect
    • This Feature Symbology is the stretchable part between the Equipment and Top Equipment Geometry Aspect.
  • Top Equipment Geometry Aspect
    • This Feature Symbology is the 'upper part' of the Feature Definition.

If it is an Assembly, the Feature Symbology is applied to three parts: Base, Middle and Top.

  • Base Connection Offset - Offset (Z distance) from Top Equipment Geometry Aspect (Cell Origin) where the Connecting Equipment should start.
  • Top Connection Offset - Offset (Z distance) from Top Equipment Geometry Aspect (Cell Origin) where the Connecting Equipment should end.
  • Connecting Equipment Template Name - Template of the stretchable part between the Equipment and Top Equipment Geometry Aspect.
If the Equipment is a non-Assembly type: Equipment Geometry Aspect is used for the whole Equipment.
